Glory of Greece Campaign #4: Trojan War

Destroy the towers to claim the island with the gold you need

Goal: Kill Hector and capture the treasure of Priam (a cart).

The Skinny: Here's another straightforward scenario. You start on a landmass at the western edge of the map with quite a few troops scattered about. Clump them together in the center of the landmass and get your villagers going on meat collection.

You have a dock, but don't build any ships yet, or the enemy will come to destroy it. Ignore the enemy for now. Build villagers and chop wood and farm. Be sure to research the wheel to speed up your villagers.

Build a few more military units, since midway through this scenario, you will be invaded. You should be able to hold the enemy off without too much trouble.

Go to the northern edge of the landmass and build a dock there. Upgrade to war galley and build four of them. Just park them to the east of your dock. Now you can build a few fishing boats if you'd like. Build another four or five war galleys and sail north.

The island just to your north has the gold you need to mine. There are towers on the landmass just to the north of this island, however, so you will need to use your navy to take them out. Once they are destroyed, take a transport ship with some villagers over to the island to build a storage pit, and begin mining. Use the gold you mine to fully upgrade all your units and build a powerful army.

Build up your navy and sweep the seas clean. If you need more gold, an island to the east of your landmass also contains some.

Once you've built up your army, load up a few transports and go to the southernmost edge of the enemy's landmass, and disembark. You can now fight your way northward towards the enemy. Use your navy to provide cover fire as you march up the narrow strip of land.

At this point it's simply a slugfest. You may want to build a barracks and a siege workshop on the enemy's land to quickly create new units. Destroy the enemy units, capture the cart, and you win.

Dangers: You will be invaded, so be prepared. The invasion force is augmented by catapults, so have cavalry ready to ride up to destroy the catapults quickly. You will face a steady stream of ships on the seas, so make sure you have ample wood to continually build warships.
