Chapter Seven: Wonders

Immunity Chip

Age: Diamond
Cost: 14,400
Prerequisite: Life extension
Primary Function: Happiness
Effect: +5 happiness and protects all cities from infect city attacks
Obsolescence: Never

Somewhat of a companion wonder to AI Entity, Immunity Chip is also a diamond age wonder that deals with one of your civilization's primary concerns, happiness. Keeping your populace content becomes harder and harder as the game moves into the late stages. Because of potential military use and your expanding empire, your citizens could very well be grumbling by the point you reach the diamond age. If you believe your rivals will be using bio-warfare, you should consider the Immunity Chip, which boosts happiness and protects your cities from infect city attacks. Then again, if there's no threat of biological weapons, opt for the AI Entity instead, despite its risks.

Boosting happiness isn't the Immunity Chip's only claim to fame; this solid late-game wonder also protects all your cities from biological warfare and infect city tactics.

Internet

Age: Modern
Cost: 7,200
Prerequisite: Computer
Primary Function: Science
Effect: Allows ten free advances per age known by another civilization.
Obsolescence: Alien archeology

Unlike Edison's Lab, the Internet only rewards you advances that other civilizations have already discovered. If you believe several civilization's are playing a much different game than you (for instance, moving through the economic tree, while you are moving more in the construction or military tree), you should definitely consider spending your resources on the Internet. If you've been concentrating resources along one path, the Internet can help you round off your civilization by giving you rewarding advances in other areas that you haven't even started developing.
