Chapter Two: Units

Mounted Archer

Requires: Domestication
Cost: 270

Assault: 1
Ranged Strength: 1
Defense: 1
Vision: 1
Movement Points: 3
Support: 8

A versatile unit, the mounted archer can handle conflict that is up-close and personal as well as trouble from a distance. Give them some support in the form of a legion or warrior unit, and you'll have an effective army that can easily cut through the enemy ranks.

Musketeer

Requires: Gunpowder
Cost: 560

Assault: 4
Ranged Strength: 4
Defense: 4
Vision: 1
Movement Points: 1
Support: 17

Up 'til the invention of the rifle, the musketeer will be one of the strongest and most effective units at your disposal. Leading the way with a powerful offensive attack, musketeers should be in an army with cavalry units acting as support for close-combat, that is, the enemy must take out the cavalry before it can get to the musketeers, and that isn't likely to happen.
