A few rooms later, you will find a beast book (spiders) on the floor. This may make you wish you'd saved your money in town, if you bought one there! To your northeast is an open area, where the necromancer will taunt you in a cutscene - and then get sucked into a hole in the ground, shouting about trolls. Follow him into the hole, where you will find the book beside his skeleton. Quest: Deliver the Book of Oblivion to the Library Archivist Now that you have the book, your task is to find your way back upstairs to the archivist. The necromancer was right about the trolls: they are down here, and while they are slow, they are a bit tougher than other opponents. Their slowness means your spells have plenty of time to kill them, but their numbers will force you to engage hand-to-hand. Step away from them as they die to avoid breathing in the noxious fumes that emit from their corpses. After you pass through the homes of the trolls, you will find yourself back in the library, where there are some welcome mana regenerators. Wander through the library rooms (you will find a nice staff along the way) until you reach a gate, behind which are a set of stairs leading up. The stairs take you up to the archivist, who will reward you with the amulet. Now, bring the book and amulet to Horvath by heading southeast to the elevator.
