Use the force field on yourself, replenish your mana at the regenerators, and proceed into the library rooms. Various urchins and spiders will attack you. To the east and then southeast are a pair of rooms with secret doors that will spring open when you pass in front of them. A pigpile of urchins is in one of the rooms, but a few lightning spells will clear them out. Nearby to the southeast of this spot is a room with a square switchplate. Push one of the two crates onto the plate to hold the switched door open. Proceed through the door past some mana regenerators until you find a spell book of fireball on the ground. This spell is nontracking and is best used when you can aim carefully. Use the fireball spell to trigger this hard-to-reach button. To your northeast is a locked gate, but the golden key that unlocks it is in a small chest just to your southeast. Inside the gate, you will pass between two rows of spikes that pump in and out of holes in the floor. The exit, which is to your northwest, can be safely opened if you shoot a fireball at each red button that is protected by the spikes. The next room has three exit doors, opened by floor plates, two of which lead to secrets which themselves lead to the two red buttons you triggered to get here. The third door leads to a library, with another floor switch that opens bookcases to your northeast. The northwest wall of the next room holds another secret room full of gold.
