Run up Spire Street to the gates and walk through them to the temple. Walk up the stairs and through the front door, where a fellow behind a table will tell you where to find Horvath. Your mentor will ask you to enter the library and perform some duties for him. Quest: Return the Amulet and the Book to Horvath The library is on your left as you leave Horvath's room and walk up the hallway toward the main atrium. A guard will meet you at the locked gate and let you in (assuming that you have spoken to Horvath). Down in the library, you will meet an archivist and a pair of guards. As you approach them, a cutscene will show a necromancer kill the guards and steal the book. The archivist will ask you to retrieve the book, thus sending you on another sub-quest. Quest: Regain the Book of Oblivion stolen by the Necromancer The first main room you enter as you pursue is lined with bookshelves. An exit in the southeast corner brings you to a room with a secret bookshelf along the southwest wall, which itself takes you to a large room with four mana regenerators in the middle. Sitting amidst the regenerators is a spell book of swap position. Since a cage traps you as you pick up the book, you must practice this new spell to escape your predicament. Exchange places with one of the spiders who approach the cage. Two rooms later, you will find a set of stairs leading downward. In the room at the bottom of the stairs, you will find a spell book of force field. This very handy spell and should be in one of your quick-key spell slots; but at this point, it should be your sixth spell. This will give you a chance to practice rearranging your spells. Click the small green rectangle to the left of your current spells to show all spells, then drag the force field spell into one of your primary five slots.
