Before exiting the room in which you find the sapphire key, look along the eastern wall for a secret panel leading outside. Head around north of the fortress to find some goodies in barrels. You can enter another part of the fortress by locating a secret panel south of the bonus equipment. You can enter this area also by simply using the sapphire key on the sapphire door. With either the sapphire key or through the panels, enter the long hall flanked by columns. Speak with Horrendous to trigger the cutscene with Hecubah and the necromancer. At the end you'll find Horrendous. Approach Horrendous and watch the cutscene of Hecubah's entrance. Watch their battle. The necromancer steals Horrendous' halbred. Hecubah and the necromancer escape and Horrendous orders you to recover his halbred before the necromancer can leave Dün Mir. He says to use the halbred, complete its incorporation with the staff of oblivion, and defeat Hecubah. Quest: Chase Down the Necromancer and Recover the Halbred of Horrendous Head northwest and follow the necromancer. Defeat the undead mob blocking the exit. Continue until you fall into the sewers. The necromancer greets you and casts some sort of wall spell. Walk northwest around the magic wall. Check the rooms on the way for bonus items. When you reach the end of the hall, leap down the elevator shaft. After dropping down, head northeast and bust the barrels to recover the silver key. Chase the necromancer through the sewers and defeat him to recover the halbred. Proceed to the gate in the northwest and pass through once you have the silver key. The necromancer waits inside with some undead warriors, so prepare for battle. Replenish your health and ready your most powerful weapons. This necromancer has much more health than previous ones you have fought. You can use the war cry ability to keep him from casting spells, then corner him and use a melee weapon. However, the easiest way to eliminate the necromancer is with ranged weapons, particularly the throwing stars.
