You can also use the harpoon to drag enemies through dangerous environmental conditions, such as laser beams, spike traps, and lava pits. Consider using the harpoon each time you encounter creatures near these conditions - it could save you a lot of combat headache, especially ammunition for your shuriken if you would otherwise use ranged weapons.
Tread Lightly
Activate the tread lightly skill when you'd like to sneak your way through a section or want to avoid traps and crumbling floors (most of them). Spot floor traps as you get close; use the tread lightly skill to avoid them if they block your path. You can also spot crumbling floor tiles by looking closely at the texture; if you see cracks, you know you'll fall through and likely into a dangerous section (filled with monsters of some kind). Activate the tread lightly skill to avoid most of the crumbling floor dangers.
Eye of the Wolf
The final warrior skill lets you see hidden objects and invisible players (or invisible nonplayer characters), particularly wizards who enjoy using the invisible spell to either sneak up on you or avoid your attacks. Use the eye of the wolf while encountering spell casters in the single-player game and locate hidden wizards during multiplayer skirmishes.
Melee Fighting 101
Sometimes it's more advantageous to go head-to-head with an enemy, even spellcasters from time to time. Though it wouldn't seem like it, there are tactics in melee (battle axes, swords, hammers, maces, and so on) fighting. For instance, the first rule is that standing in place and slashing wildly is usually the worst plan of attack. Standing up against an opponent and attacking leaves you open to his counterattacks. In most instances, it's important to try and not take damage yourself. This helps keep your armor intact as well as your health. Further, in most instances, you can fight without taking damage, yet most players don't take the effort.
