 | | A Shark Review For those of you that haven't been able to make up your minds and have not received the game in your stocking, Angel Zen spotted another review of Zeus: Master of Olympus. Sharky Games gives the game 8 out of 10. Oh, you want to read the actual review? Well, click here. |
 | | Bugs, oddities, and other assortes goodies This update is brought to you courtesy of the diligence of David Masters.
Thanks to David for sending me some assorted bugs, oddities and hints for Zeus over the past week, and apologies to him for not getting them up sooner (I've been ambushed by a ton of Xmas presents demanding to be wrapped ). The stuff he sent to me has been either put in the new-look random quotation thing at the top of this page or onto a new ZH page - Bugs?.
As always, if there's anything you find which you feel deserves a mention on these pages, then please send it my way - my email's at the top of each news update . |
 | | Making of Zeus Man, these things always happen when you're busy, don't they ?
Anyway, Impressions have posted 3 quicktime movies showing what went on behind-the-scenes during the making of Zeus. |
 | | Kraken on the Horse Ranch Bug Impressions's Kraken (watch those piers ) posted to this ZH forum thread about the horse ranch bug which some people have been experiencing:
The horse ranch bug affects the UK version ONLY. No other localized version exhibits this behavior, nor does the North American version. The Zeus localizers are responsible for creating and publishing a remedy. I have no information on when that might happen, and I won't mislead you by guessing.
The bug does not render the game unplayable. Our tests confirm that you can build one working horse ranch, but subsequent ranches never breed horses. The inability to build multiple horse ranches does hobble your playing style to some degree, but it should not be insurmountable. Click the above link for more. |
 | | Zeus for $14.90! Now that's what I call cheap! Click here to find out more. |

 | | Walkthroughs @ Impressions Impressions have posted walkthroughs for all the adventures in Zeus - click here to take a look.
Speaking of walkthroughs, I have a couple which are waiting to be HTMLd, so I'll try to get them up at some point over the weekend (work permitting). |
 | | Wanna go to Greece? Whilst browsing the official forum I noticed a thread by forum regular Mayati in which she mentioned that the Discovery Channel is running a competition. Not just any competition though - if you win this one, you'll get yourself an all-expenses-paid trip to Greece!
More information can be found here. |
 | | Zeus and SB16s Here's something that came in the mail this morning from David Masters, which might be of use to anyone out there who has a SB16 PCI and has been having problems with the sound:
A sheet comes with eus that lists several different sound boards, and possible problems you might have with them. Not listed is the Soundblaster 16 PCI. I was experiencing the occasional bit of crackle or static from the speakers... went into the Options menu, Sound, and shut off the 3D sounds. Problem solved. |
 | | New Zeus Goodness Well, the most recent Core Rewards contest may have seemingly disappeared down the tube, but Impressions have updated their Zeus site with a bunch of new goodies for you to gawp and gaze at. There are new animations and illustrations and some more nibbles of concept art. |
 | | Win Z:MOO While I was reading Happy Puppy's Zeus review, I noticed that the same site is running a little (well, not so little, in fact) competition in which you can win a copy of Zeus.
Click here to take a look. |
 | | CGO Zeus Tips Thanks go out to the ever-vigilant Angel Thunder from AOKH for letting me know that CGO has posted some tips for the first 3 adventures in Zeus. |
 | | Feeling Bookish? If so, then you'll be pleased to hear that the first edition of Baltic's Book, dealing specifically with the "Zeus and Europa" adventure, has just been uploaded.
