Chapter 9 - Through the Dismal Swamp After suggesting that you resupply, the captain drops you off in the dismal swamp and encourages you to seek help with Aldwyn's brother. Quest: Find Aldwyn's Conjurer Brother, Mordwyn, Who Lives in the Swamp You are simultaneously given this quest as well. Quest: Find the Ogre Outpost at the Northeast End of the Swamp. This Leads into the Tunnel Pass through the Mountains and onto the Wasteland The path to Mordwyn's house is long but fairly linear. Heading generally northwest, you will come across a pair of bridges, the second of which leads to an abandoned hut. Just before the pair of bridges is a side trail that leads west to an elevator down, where you will find a quiver of dazing. From here, head west until you come to a T. Head north, and you will find a trio of mana regenerators and a fork, with a bridge to your northeast. The northwest fork leads to a small abandoned hut. Across the bridge, you will soon come to another fork. The right-hand fork contains a secret. Continuing along the left fork, you will become trapped by carnivorous plants and attacked unless you are invisible. A fairly safe place to fight is in the southeast corner of this room beside the two mana regenerators. Walk north to Mordwyn's gates. He will greet you and invite you inside. Follow him there and talk to him several times until he mentions a secret panel in the back of his cottage. The secret panel is to the left of the desk you see to your northeast. In the garden is a nice quiver, and there is a spell book of greater heal in his bedroom. Exit his cottage and go through the doorway to your southeast.
