The next large room contains two fist switchplates, and an exit to the northwest takes you to your first look at Hecubah and your first big fight with a necromancer. His weak fireballs track you, and his strong ones do not, so keep moving from one mana regenerator to the next, summoning pixies and healing yourself when needed. Stay in constant motion and fire as often as you can. When you defeat him, you can exit to the northwest and drop through a hole to the next level. Quest: Find a Way to Escape from the Tomb of Valor Drop down, get the book of burn in the right-hand treasure chest. Zombies populate this level, and while they can be killed with conventional means, some spells and attacks just knock them to the floor. If left in peace for a few moments, they will return to life. While they are on the floor, cast your burn spell once on them to remove them for good. Alternatively, your magic missiles will burn the zombies up if you hit them while they are shambling toward you. After you've dropped down the hole, fight your way through the hallways to your north and then east until you arrive at a locked gate, behind which is a silver key. Grab it through the gates. You need the gold key to pass further, but you can't reach it - nor can you go through the southeast gate. Instead, head northeast and make your way east until you arrive at a gate that has a fist switchplate just outside it. Run across the plate and barrel through the gate. Continue, and you will find yourself where the gold key lies in the hallway by the gate. Pick it up and circle back around to the spot where you snagged the silver key. Go through the gate to your southeast. If you run straight ahead, you can continue to a room that has three fist switchplates on the floor and a gate to your southwest. Go through this gate and then through another gate that leads to the room with the button on the north wall that releases the fire through the grates.
