Get the key and open the gate. Go back up the elevator you rode down and give the boots to the bridge guard. He will reward you with a spell book of stun. Return to the urchins' lair and circle through them counterclockwise until you find another elevator, which brings you to the far side of the river. Nearby is Aldwyn's house. Speak with him, and he will sell you the spell book of charm creature for 30 gold pieces. Before you follow his directions and descend the elevator, explore his house for goodies. Then, go down the elevator in his house to the spiders' tunnels. To give the bridge keeper his booty, you must go back through the tunnels. Use your new spell to charm three or four spiders, then use them as a shield to navigate the rest of the tunnels by retreating behind them when you are attacked. At the far end of the tunnels is an elevator, which brings you up into town. Head to the mayor's house in the center of town and speak to the guard, who will let you in. Enter the house and charm all the spiders. Banish them all. Speak to the mayor through a small window that connects his bedroom to the front hallway, and he will come out and reward you handsomely. In his gratitude, he will inform the city guards to let you leave. The exit gates are to the southeast. When you approach them, Aldwyn will appear and speak with you.
