Chapter 7 - The Heart of Nox
The captain reassures you that although you have gained the halberd, you must also obtain the heart of Nox. The heart, when placed with the halberd, will be your ultimate weapon. The captain drops you outside the town and wishes you well.
Quest: Retrieve the Heart of Nox from the Tower of Illusion
Pass through the town and replenish your supplies. Then, head northeast to the castle and find Horvath's quarters (in the southeast, where you spoke to him before). On the far end of his room is a teleporter. Step inside, and you will be sent to Horvath's side.

Horvath will tell you to take the heart of Nox, which you can do by bumping into the pedestal that holds it, in the center of the room. Then, he will suggest that you step into the nearby teleporter. Do so, and Hecubah will appear, doing something nasty to Horvath and sending you instead to what she terms "the underworld".
Quest: Escape from the Underworld
Your halberd will make short work of the demons that stand guard in these tunnels, but be sure to avoid their dying explosion. Head east until you arrive at an elevator. Up on the next level, head generally east until you arrive at another elevator that goes up.
On this level, if you head east, you will arrive at a wall with holes in it that let you view a new area. You can swap with a demon on that side of the wall or head south and then west from here to find an elevator. Up on the next level, you will soon pass a series of holes along the northwest wall, through which you can see a large group of ember demons running in circles. Zap them through the holes, then go southeast. You will soon arrive at an elevator.
