Continue, and you will find yourself where the gold key lies in the hallway by the gate. Pick it up and circle back around to the spot where you snagged the silver key. Go through the gate to your southeast. If you run straight ahead, you can continue to a room that has three fist switchplates on the floor and a gate to your southwest. Go through this gate, then head through another gate that leads to the room with the button on the north wall that releases the fire through the grates. You can use this trap to kill the groups of zombies through the gate to your southwest, but your experience points will accumulate if you instead use your fireball spell on the zombie groups. From the fire trap room, head southwest through the gate and then northwest through another gate into a room that has two spouts shooting fireballs along the short corridors which you must navigate. While you can safely run through one of the short corridors if you have the right timing, it is safer to shoot a fireball through a hole at the button on the far wall. This button turns off the spouts. Jump down the hole in this room. A brief interlude on the next level leads to another hole leading down. Jump through, and the next part of the level will load. Down here, run northwest through the doorway. A sign on the wall indicates that you are about to fight the barbaric guardian of the crypts. When you enter his room, make use of the mana regenerators before stepping into the center of the room to face him. Lay a few traps, although be careful not to include more than one magic missile in your traps, since you can only have two in play at one time. Go heavy on the burn and lightning. Defeat this guardian by firing magic missiles at him to make him defend himself, then use lightning as he charges you.
