Chapter 9 - Journey Through the Dismal Swamp Quest: Find Aldwyn's Conjurer Brother, Mordwyn, Who Lives in the Swamp Head west and encounter several new creatures, including wasps and carnivorous plants. Wasps are easy to defeat, but they can poison you. The plants can't move, so just stay away and attack them from a distance if you need to pass or want the experience points. There are also the poisonous plants from the last chapter scattered around; avoid touching them. Zombies and spiders also frequent the swamp; equip a flame sword for the zombies. Continue moving to the west. An alcove to the south contains a lift taking you underground to some leeches, spiders, and a decent helmet. Speak with Mordwyn to receive items and information. Follow the swamp path as it winds to the north. Cross the bridge, and you'll encounter an intersection leading to the left and right. Follow the right path to enter a house for some equipment. When you exit, you must face the spell-casting will o' wisp. Be ready with ranged weapons. Return to the intersection and head left; the path will wind to the north. If you fall through the dirt, just use the lift. You'll eventually reach another intersection. Left leads to another house (and a crumbling dirt path - just find the lift if you fall through). Head right and face two will o' wisps. Use ranged weapons or try to corner them after a war cry. Continue north, and you'll eventually reach a gate. As you enter, Mordwyn comes out. Follow him inside his home and speak with him. He hands you some armor. Rummage through his bedroom for some potions.
