Chapter Nine: Governments Communism Growth: Average Pollution coefficient:
3 Though the crime rate is kept under control, communism's huge industrial benefit causes the pollution coefficient to triple that of most civilizations. Although research is rated as awful, communism's maximum gold allowed for science and the science coefficient aren't bad at all. Early-game production should be excellent under Communism, but you must keep close tabs on happiness, which will be a constant problem under this government style due to the hefty pollution totals and the average wages. Construct improvements and wonders that offset the poor gold and bad science totals; don't hesitate to churn out plenty of extra goodies and put those production bonuses to good effect.
Growth: Average Pollution coefficient:
2 A solid, all-around governmental style, particularly for the economically minded player, the corporate republic features hefty bonuses to gold and science and even a modest boost to production levels. Comparing the coefficients with other governments makes the corporate republic even more appealing. Perhaps the only weak spot is pollution and crime, both above normal levels. If you plan to use this ruling force, just keep happiness levels stable, clean up your polluting cities, and build, build, and more build. Fortify your defenses well, as the corporate republic isn't exactly the style you want to choose to become a feared military juggernaut.
