CAlan-Corinth , by Caesar Alan

Author's Description:

Corinth:

Fun one this one... it's easy enough to get started, since you get a truckload of useful gifts from Iolcus, like a granary full of food, so just make sure you have the space for it!

My priority thereafter was my weapons industry. The requests and demands come thick and fast, so be prepared for some lean years before you can get round to making some serious cash.

In order to ward off the seemingly inevitable attacks from Lemnos, and to provide myself with a ready supply of oil, I decided to knock up a sanctuary to Athena. I chose the begging (and a little buying) option to get the necessary raw materials.

A word of advice... ignore the demands for weapons from Lemnos - meeting them is all but impossible and will cripple your economy. Send them a fat gift of wood ASAP, or you risk being flattened by their rather large army.

Once I had developed my Townhouse block satisfactorily, I set about adding the Elite block. I couldn't be doing with producing wine, so opted for six mansions to meet the Hoplite requirement. The two triremes appeared quite quickly too.

The townhouse block is pretty much the largest I have come up with based on the single ring design. Anything larger and you can suffer walker coverage problems.

I stuck around to make a spot of cash here: the weapons trade is very lucrative indeed.
