The Birth of Atlantis - Cyclone Style, by Cyclone

City ID = 162

Author's Description:

This is my crack as the city of Atlantis. My goal was simply to finish the adventure, and I didn't continue playing to bulk up by bank account and population (I mean, 100,000 drachmas is more than enough for any city ruler to do anything). Therefore, I present the file upon completion of episode 9, and you may marvel or hate as you will.

City population: somewhere over 6,200 of 6,300 as the file is run
City funds: over 140,000 drachmas, at last check; this is bound to rise as the file runs by itself, due to huge exports and taxes
Further population increases: I left plenty of room in the lower left, similar to what others did there

City Highlights: note the mythological island in the middle; not only did the Citadel go there, but I also placed it such that the Pyramid of the Pantheon had plenty of room across the street...and I took the opportunity to add some more housing near the citadel. The lack of science is all that really hurts the area; feel free to play with this, if you choose. Look around for further things of interest, and comment here.

Notes: if you play with this, remember to replace sheep and bulls. I lost all of my townhouses to a sudden lack of fleece at one point; one block remained, and I suddenly needed 520 workers. It took a long time to get things back to normal. Explains why I took 52 years to finish!
