Second comment, upon completion.

I don't intend to give away the story, but I must express my surprise and mild displeasure (not to mention a little amusement) at one thing. I started building my city at the bottom of the map (using the view North), and took full advantage of the meadows, noting that my fleece industry waws located far from the warehouse (which didn't have much of a factor thanks to slowly growing population at first, but yeah). Thus, I had bridges all over the place across the water, for future building progress that appears in the fourth and final episode. Well...the Minotaur appears right in the middle of my sheep field, so let's just say that my fleece industry was pretty much shut down for a while until I got Theseus into town. So a warning to new players; be wary of using the south field right away.

As for the amusement; none of my buildings got destroyed. I had to replace a hell of a lot of sheep, however.

This is my first stab at one of Nightwolf's quests, and I also intend to check out the rest in this series at some point. However, for now, comments.

The one thing that ticks me off is that there are deer on the map (both parent and colony), but we are not allowed to build hunting lodges. Also, I located a fishing spot in the colony; needless to say, it took me little time to find that we also had no fisheries. Thus, the colony was a bit of a challenge, with only one way of getting my own food; growing carrots, which only did any good around April. I did start importing food later in the episode, to help; it also got me building a second Granary in the vicinity of the trading post. (It didn't help that I had the same area of meadow shared by carrot farms and my fleece industry, which saw me through some trying times in the colony. Having 48 sheep in a 3x7 grid is rather...interesting, to say the least.)

I almost got away without seeing the Calydonian Boar in the colony. I had my shrine finished early, and got a thriving Marble industry going; the only thing that held me back was an annual profit one year totalling $2,265 (target $2,500, missed due to some construction). I was a bit irritated, as I had to then leave for work; I came back to finish the episode this evening. And that very next year is when the monster made its' unwanted appearance. It took me a bit of work, and involved relocating my palace (twice, at that) to a separate island, just to satisfy the requirements for Theseus' Hall, but I got it done and am about to embark on episode three a few years later. I have a hobby 2morrow.

This one slipped by my radar screen until May 2002.

Had fun. Loved the island-type map.
