Author's Description:
Adventure Introduction: "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Like any woman, Aphrodite doesn't like rejection. Unlike any normal woman, however, the Goddess of Love's fury can be somewhat, ah, excessive. Her fury, and that of her jealous husband, have torn the world apart. Putting it back together will be a delicate business."
This adventure was a gas to create -- I had a little fun with map creation (gave me something to do while waiting for my copy of Poseidon to arrive). Although the adventure is pretty easy, most players will find a few challenges.
The narration for the first three parent episodes is zipped and uploaded with the major Love Hurts adventure download; the narration files for the colonies and the last parent episode were uploaded separately as "LoveHurtsSounds.zip" and will either be located here in the Adventure Downloads section, or the Misc. Downloads section.
As always, to avoid the "open play bug," remember to make a COPY of the Love Hurts.pak file and paste it to your /Adventures directory.
Your comments, of course, are most welcome.
Best,
Maggie

Mary:
If you did not choose Corcyra as your first colony, then oil is difficult -- but not impossible -- to acquire. You did not say on which episode Scylla has you stuck, but I suspect it's either the second parent episode or the Naxos colony episode. In either case, you have the resources to build triremes. Without giving away TOO much, I will say this: Triremes hold a LOT of plunder.
Good luck!

Hi Maggie :o)
Let me start with saying that i am a newbie to this site. I was not aware that there was so much extra goodies, like these playermade adventures and cityplans etc., for us players. So i am happy i found my way in here.
But really trilled, i got when i decided to download your Aphrodite adventure(as a kind of "let me see what these guys r able to do" test :o)...). I am amazed at your skills, girl. The adventure itself was at least as good as the ones that comes with the CD, but the maps!! Oh my, the maps was gorgeous. It took me forever to start placing sheep and goats into the beautiful flower. I didn't want to ruin it...hehehehe...I have played several different city building games, but never have i seen more beautiful and wellmade maps! I am really and eagerly waiting for the next assignment that you will give us.
And now I'll hit the download button and check out the other adventures you have made. :o)
You are a true artist.

I have been enjoying the adventure -- til now. I've come to a standstill. Scylla is attacking and I need Odysseus. But I can't create any elite housing, cause I have no olive oil. Sparta won't give it up. Can't attack, cause I don't have elite housing. Tried to plunder, no avail. Tried to make friends, no avail. Maybe I'm just a slacker, but this one has me stumped.

Your best one yet! I used rubble in my first adventure (Ares Conflict), and it's an excellent effect. Kudos to your map design & story. Damn Scylla!!

Maggie, you've done it again. Cheers was great, Reunification was wonderful, but Love Hurts is incredible. The maps are too cool for skool (especially the urn) and the adventure, as always, is terrific. Way to go - do some more, please! Can't wait for your Poseidon.
Best, Chloe

I have finished playing all three of your adventures. I am very impressed with your story line, artistic maps, and terrific narration. These are adventures are enjoyable and well executed. Impressions games should hire you. Your adventures are better than some of the original ones.

Maggie, I just finished this adventure and just had a delightful time. It is not too difficult, so those that don't want a hard challenge will have fun. The maps were well done, with lots of room to build an idea capital city. It was well scripted, so I think experts will also have fun. The naration and story line were fantastic. I would highly recommend this adventure and can't wait to try another of yours. Great job!!!

Maggie I played your "Cheers" adventure and loved it. I then tried "Love Hurts" but had no sound. The files are there but do not play. I can play it without sound but enjoyed your narration too much in "Cheers" to want to do that. I have downloaded both files, put them in the same folder, copied the pak file to the adventure folder and doubled checked the name of the folder. Could someone help me please.

Ack! Okay, I found the problem with the sound files: The narration for the first parent episode introduction is missing! (Those wily mp3 files, you know, will do ANYTHING to escape being compressed!) It is missing because I somehow failed to include it when I created the zip archive.
Sorry!
But -- all the narration files for the rest of the episodes are there and working properly. I downloaded the adventure (and the sound files from the Misc. section) and tested it myself.
So, only the first episode's introductory narration is missing. Which may actually be a good thing since it is the longest one.
If you press on with the rest of the adventure, the narration for the rest of the episodes should play fine. If you have further trouble with it, please let me know.
Thanks,
Maggs

Dunno what happened, but this showed up under the list of Poseidon adventures, and in fact as Atlanteans. This made the third episode unwinnable, because it required Hercules, who required a hippodrome, and I wasn't allowed to build a horse ranch.

Never mind, it shows up under Zeus too.
