Hades Queen, by bobT

Adventure ID = 37
Date Submitted = 2001-05-01

Author's Description:

This story is based very loosely on the kidnap and eventual unity of Hades and Persephone.

Hades for many years watched as the beautiful Persephone played in the wilderness. Hades wanted so bad for Persephone to become his bride and rule beside him in the underworld that he finally kidnapped her.

Demeter was outraged and very depressed over the whole event and took it out on all of Greece. Demeter would not let her daughter be lead into the underworld without a fight.

This adventure consists of nine episodes and is playable at all levels. After several hours, and even weeks testing out this adventure it is finally worthy of your playing skills. As usual with these adventures the maps are created in such a manner as to test your city building skills as well as general game play. You will find one odd area within the map that can not be corrected unless I totally redesigned the map. Piers being placed in the parent city will look odd before final placement. This is due to the water being above sealevel and proper tile layout can not be corrected within the editor. Once the pier is placed all works fine.

Have fun with this one all.

We found this to be a lot of fun. Not too challenging for the experienced player. Only wish is that gifts to parent/colony would be received! Inland lake drives us mad! All in all, very worth playing. Good job.

Found this adventure to be quite interesting and for awhile thought I might join the list of those who had a "few other names" for you! A little thought makes it quite playable however.
