Get older, stay fit and active

People who have a hobby in later life, who remain willing to learn and open for contact with their fellow human beings, live longer and more satisfied lives.

This is a proven fact. In order to stay healthy and lively for a whole life long and to feel good in the long term, a persons muscles need movement. Whoever is physically active extends the ageing process. It's not just a coincidence that poor movement is one of the major causes for many, often mortal heart and circulation illnesses.

Hold on - don't suddenly fall into over-activity and find from one day to the next you're rushing to sport appointment after sport appointment. Take one step at a time. Sit down with your family doctor and have a chat, talk to one of our physiotherapists, have your personal bodily performance checked (see page "Check-Up) - and together we'll work out your personal movement program.

No matter which sport activity you decide on - the main thing is, you're having fun. Bild: Steine Otherwise you won't stay at it, and it's exactly this regularity that's important. "Setting and achieving aims" is the name of the game. Just as important as the right amount of exertion and strain, is the relaxation. A restful sauna visit, autogenic training, Yoga or Tai Chi are the best examples for this.

In the "Taunus Therme Fitness-Club" you'll find ideal opportunities to realise your individual fitness program involving both activity and relaxation. Contact and support from a trained competent trainer is always at hand. In addition, sport and fun is twice as good with a circle of people, whether young or old, who have the same objectives. Sport doesn't just increase your health and movement; rather above all it promotes social contact to other people and through that a feeling of well being. And you're never too old for that.
