Town Guide (cont.)

Arbiter's House: The arbiter's house is in the east of the map. You can get there either by jumping or flying straight across the hills, making a straight line east from town. However, if you want to visit the arbiter before you get either spell, you can take a winding path there. Just take the path that leads to the White Cliff Caves. You'll see that the road continues past the caves. It goes east a little more and then turns left, heading north. At the end of the path are a lake and the arbiter's house. Inside is Judge Grey, who will help you with little hints if you visit him. This hut isn't really that significant until later in the game.

When you recover Gryphonheart's trumpet from the battlefields of Tularea, you can bring it here, and the arbiter will make Harmondale a free territory (prior to that, it is claimed by both the humans and elves).

Second, a month or so after the war ends, Judge Grey will pass away, and you must select a new arbiter. Pick either Judge Fairweather from Bracada or Judge Sleen from Deyja and bring one of them back to the arbiter's house to appoint the new arbiter. When the new arbiter arrives, you can continue to ask him for help.

Should you ever lose track of a quest item, visit the arbiter and tell him, "I lost it." He'll help you find the quest item you have lost.

Next: Harmondale (cont.)
