Introduction
Might and Magic VII
is a huge game. Within a large continent reside numerous tribes of people,
from dwarven towns to elven cities and human settlements. Even more numerous
are their respective needs and their ceaseless enemies, both of which
need attention. In this walk-through, we'll give you a tour of Erathia,
the world of Might and Magic VII, and detail all the things you must know
to make your adventures there as fun as possible. We will ease the burden
of having to find, by trial and error, every master of weapons, teacher
of spells, or monster-guarded treasure. Within these pages, you'll get
a general overview of what it is you are supposed to do in the game; a
character creation guide; a town-by-town look at Erathia; a guide to all
the experts, masters, and grandmasters of every skill in the game; a review
of all the quests and where and how to complete them.
As this guide is rather large,
and the game even more so, let us first start off with a primer on how
to use this guide. If you are starting out and want to build a character,
go to the Character Creation section. Read about what you need in a party,
peruse the sample parties we discuss, and then look over each class description.
This should help you decide on what party to create. If you want to enhance
your party by maximizing their skills, read the Skills section. Return
to the Skills section if you want to know where to find experts, masters,
or grandmasters for each skill.
If you are in an area of the
game or hoping to travel to an area of the game, flip to the Towns and
Territories section and go to the territory in question. You'll find all
the areas and people of note, plus the quests, all discussed in detail.
You'll also find listings of each territory's fountains, pedestals, and
skills people (those that can teach you expert, master, or grandmaster
level in your skills).
If you are facing some tough
monsters and want to know their hit points, damage, or resistances, flip
to the Bestiary.
