Town Guide (cont.)

Harmondale

Harmondale is where your newly won castle lies. Castle Harmondale is usually a catalyst for the main storyline. Your first order of business will be to clear out the goblins that have infested the castle. There are a great variety of quests to attain here as well as some vital skills to learn. The goblins that live in the countryside will present you with problems, but by the mid game, you'll be strong enough to deal with them easily. Aside from the main city at the foot of Castle Harmondale, there is also a smaller settlement to the south of this town.

Areas and People of Note
Castle Harmondale: Castle Harmondale starts off infested with goblins. However, once you clear them out and get the dwarves to fix up your castle, you can go into your throne room and talk to ambassadors. First, you'll have ambassadors visiting from Erathia and the Tularean Forest. They'll ask you to speak to their respective rulers and plead their cases to you. After the dwarves fix your castle, you'll also find that the prisons below the castle have been revealed. Inside, you'll find some gold as well as a cryptic message that has bearing on the Ninja promotion quest.

When the arbiter Judge Grey dies, ambassadors from Bracada and Deyja appear. Both ask you to select their nation's representative as the new arbiter. Once you side with one of them, your new allies will restore more of your castle, adding a weapons shop, and armor shop, an alchemy shop, and a magic shop.

You can always rest here for free, meaning you won't spend any food to rest in your castle.
