Town Guide (cont.)

Erathia

There is the continent Erathia, and then there is the country Erathia. Erathia (the country) is home to Steadwick and Castle Gryphonheart. For the middle part of the game, these cities contain the good people of the continent. You'll come here early and often to fulfill several quests, find skills experts and masters, and pick up many quests. You'll also find three curious craftsmen in the city who will make armor for you if you bring them the ore you find throughout your journeys.

Once the dwarves fix your castle, you'll get ambassadors from Erathia and the Tularean Forest. Both sides will ask you to come to their respective capitals to hear their side of the territory dispute. Both sides lay claim to Harmondale (they don't seem to care that you now occupy the castle) and will have your help whether you like it or not. Queen Catherine soon summons you for a top-secret task.

There are various structures and areas within Erathia that will command you attention. If you wander around the countryside, though, be wary of wild griffins, bandits, and robbers.

Areas and People of Note
Castle Gryphonheart: Castle Gryphonheart is where you come to receive the quest from Queen Catherine to rescue her spy Loren Steel, who is held in the Tularean Caves. You also come here if you are a follower of the path of dark and want to kidnap Alice Hargreaves for the villain promotion quest. Also, if you took the quest from Ferdinand Visconti, the two paintings of Roland and Archibald Ironfist are in here.
