Town Guide (cont.) Retrieve the Altar pieces
from the Dark and Light Temples (The Pit) What you need to know: Each altar piece lies in the appropriate temple. You can get the piece from the Temple of Dark first. The creatures within will not fight you because you serve the dark. Simply walk into the main chamber, click on the altar to move it aside, and open the revealed chest to claim the altar piece. Next, get the altar piece from the Temple of Light. This will be considerably more difficult because you must journey to Celeste. Go to Bracada and cast invisibility on yourself before stepping on the teleport pad to Celeste. Otherwise, you must contend with rocs, sorcerers, and powerful angels. Run north into Celeste, then head west at the four-way intersection and hop into the Temple of Light. Inside are more angels, monks, and clerics of the sun. Running through the dungeon to find the altar room isn't as easy as bashing at enemies. You must solve a switch puzzle in the far north room of this dungeon. Inside a two-story room are three alcoves with switches symbolizing the sun, moon, and stars. In the center of the room is a large star altar. To get to the altar room, you must make sure these switches are in the down position in each alcove: the sun switch in the west alcove, the moon switch in the north alcove, and the star switch in the east alcove. Then, touch the star altar to open the altar room. Touch this altar to move the altar aside and reveal a chest with the Temple of Light altar piece. Return both it and the Temple of Dark piece to Kastore.
