Town Guide (cont.) The Pit: This is the true headquarters of the necromancer nation. Archibald Ironfist, traitorous brother to Roland and brother-in-law to Queen Catherine, rules from his throne in Castle Gloaming, which lies at the heart of the Pit. Once you join the forces of evil, the Pit will be your home away from home. You'll find the right people to teach you dark magic as well as the people to promote your wizards to liches and your initiates to ninja. There are also four quests here that you must complete to cement your place as full-fledged servants of evil, as well as truths to be learned from your evil masters. When you join the necromancers of Deyja, the game starts speeding toward its shocking end, so this is definitely a place of excitement. And even if you don't follow evil, a few quests for the forces of light will lead you to this pit of evil. The Pit has an inn, training hall, all the shops, a paramount guild of earth, and a guild of night (dark magic). In addition, you get four evil quests here and two promotion quests, one for sorcerers and one for monks. We'll discuss these six quests in more detail in the quest section. There is an obelisk in the Pit. The Pit is also the destination for three good quests. One takes you to the Breeding Zone in the Pit. The other takes you to the Temple of Dark in the Pit. And the last one takes you to Castle Gloaming. The Pit is divided into four areas connected by teleporters. The interesting thing is that, rather than having four separate teleporters, the Pit only has one, but each time you walk though, you get teleported to a new location. It operates by a simple repeating pattern. The first teleport cave is in the southeast of the main Pit area. When you jump through, you'll come to the shops area. Go back into the same cave you came through. You'll be teleported to the next area, which is the Temple of Dark area. If you go through the same cave a third time, you'll jump to Castle Gloaming. Go through again, and you'll arrive in the main area again.
