Town Guide (cont.) Breeding Zone (The Pit): This area is a dungeon within the Pit. Whether you've joined the forces of good or evil, you must brave the dangers within. If you follow the path of dark, Archibald sends you here to test your mettle. If you follow the path of light, Thomas Grey sends you here to retrieve the Book of Divine Intervention so you can be promoted from wizard to archmage. Evil players have a tougher time because they must run through the entire dungeon, from entrance to exit, and that means there is no getting around the dozen behemoths that guard the sewer exit. Inside the breeding zone are fire elementals, gogs, and behemoths. When you come in, there are just two rooms and a bridge. You must jump down from the bridge, run away from the behemoths below, and make your way east into a safer room filled with fire elementals and gogs. If you are here for the Book of Divine Intervention, it lies in a series of tunnels in the southeast of the dungeon. If you are here for Archibald's edification, you must continue north to room that contains a panel with three buttons. Hitting all three buttons will open a door in the north room. You'll see a chasm, a room across the chasm, and, below you, more behemoths. Walk over to the fountain on your left, touch the pool of water there, and a bridge will appear to connect you to the other side. Hit the button on the other side. If you don't, the exit won't open. Now, it's time to jump down and rush to the exit, which lies at the end of the sewer below this room. It's best to cast an invisibility spell on yourself before you negotiate the sewer full of behemoths. Rush back to the entrance of the dungeon; that should provide you enough breathing room to cast the spell (you can't cast invisibility around hostile creatures). Then, rush into the sewers, take a right, traveling east and then north. Don't attack the behemoths or the invisibility will end. And don't cast any spells after you cast invisibility because spellcasting also cancels invisibility. After going east and then north, you'll go west. You'll come to a chamber with a door in the north wall. Go through, and you'll have successfully run the Breeding Zone gauntlet.
