Skills Guide (cont.)

Body Building

Body building is a great skill because it increases your hit point totals. The effects are very slight at low levels, but when you have this skill at master level or higher and are a high level, this skill can turn your character into a hit-point behemoth. You should take advantage of this skill and teach it to all classes who can learn it. There is a formula used to calculate the number of bonus hit points you gain from this skill. It is based on your skill level and the base hit points at first rank for your characters. Knights and monks have a base of five; thieves, paladins, and rangers have a base of four; archers have a base of three; and clerics have a base of two. Knights and monks can become grandmasters in this skill, while paladins may become masters.

Normal level: Bonus hit points is base times skill level (base x skill)
Expert level: Double effect (base x skill x 2)
Master level: Triple effect (base x skill x 3)
Grandmaster level: Quintuple effect (base x skill x 5)
Where you learn it: Training hall
Where you upgrade to expert level: Thorinson Residence, Stone City (Barrow Downs); Hollyfield Residence, Bracada
Where you upgrade to master level: Foestryke Residence, Deyja
Where you upgrade to grandmaster level: Evander's Home, Mount Nighon

Body Magic

Body magic is the spell school with the most healing and curative effects. This school does have two attack spells, but most of the spells here are designed to aid and cure your party. The cleric can become grandmaster in this skill, while the paladin and druid can become masters.

Normal level: Effects vary per spell
Expert level: Effects vary per spell
Master level: Effects vary per spell
Grandmaster level: Effects vary per spell
