Character Creation (cont.)

The monk needs good might and endurance ability and benefits from good speed and accuracy scores. If you plan on the monk being a competent spellcaster, you'll want some personality. Humans make good monks, as do goblins and dwarves with some stats tweaking.

Starting skills: Dodging, unarmed
Starting choices: Dagger, spear, staff, sword, leather, body building, perception
Disallowed skills: Axe, mace, chain, plate, shield, air, earth, fire, water, dark, light, alchemy, identify item, meditation, merchant, repair item
Normal-level skills: Bow, body (evil), mind (evil), spirit (evil), stealing (good)
Expert-level skills: Dagger, spear, sword, body (good), mind (good), spirit (good), disarm trap (good), identify monster, perception, stealing (evil)
Master-level skills: Leather, armsmaster, disarm trap (evil)
Grandmaster-level skills: Staff, unarmed, dodge, body building, learning

Starting hit points: 35
Starting spell points: 0
Additional hit points per level: 5/6/8
Additional spell points per level: 0/1/1
