Bronze Age Buildings

Temple
Temple
Cost: 200 wood
Hit points: 350

Temples are home to priests, who in numbers can be either a blessing or an irritation, depending on which side of their conversion attempts you're on.

Temple Tips: Don't build a temple until you need a priest, since it yields little in the way of research options that help your other units. A single priest can be very helpful when used to heal the wounded. Priests in numbers can quickly convert enemy units.

Medium Wall
Medium
Wall
Cost: 5 stone
Hit points: 300

Walls can be invaluable for slowing down the enemy, letting your archers get in several shots before they break through.

Medium Wall Tips: You can click and hold the mouse button, then drag the mouse to build multiple sections of wall at once. Your villager will busily construct the wall section by section.

Government Center
Government
Center
Cost: 175 wood
Hit points: 350

The Government Center lets you research key items that boost your cavalry and siege weapons, but your first research item should probably be architecture, which immediately boosts your building and wall hit points by 20 percent and reduces build times by a third.

Government Center Tips: The government center allows you to build additional town centers.

Academy
Academy
Cost: 200 wood
Hit points: 350

The academy yields the finest infantry troops available in the game. The barracks can give you some powerful advanced units, but academy units are better.

Academy Tips: Be sure you have ample gold available before you build this, since the academy units are a bit pricey. There's little reason to build this if you are not ready to churn out some soldiers.

Siege Workshop
Siege
Workshop
Cost: 200 wood
Hit points: 350

Bringing you the finest in mass destruction devices, the siege workshop should be on every empire builder's list. Just be sure to protect the valuable weapons it produces with good shock troops.

Siege Workshop Tips: Siege weapons build slowly, so you may want to build several of these if you have enough resources.

Iron Age Buildings

Fortification
Fortification
Cost: 5 stone
Hit points: 400

Walls can be invaluable for slowing down the enemy, letting your archers get in several shots before they break through.

Fortification Tips: You can click and hold the mouse button, then drag the mouse to build multiple sections of fortification wall at once. Your villager will busily construct the wall section by section.

Wonder
Wonder
Cost: 1000 wood, 1000 stone, 1000 gold
Hit points: 400

Not only do these look cool, they can also win the game for you. Do not embark on building one of these until you're ready. Starting one is like pasting a "kick me" sign on your rear. And, of course, you have to use a great deal of resources to build one.

Wonder Tips: Be ready to completely wall in your empire when you start one of these, and be prepared for an onslaught. Priests and units with ranged attacks are very helpful in this situation. Use multiple villagers to speed up the Wonder building process.
