Welcome to the
updated Strategy Section of Caesar III Heaven. Here, you'll be able to find all
sorts of incredibly useful strategies for getting through Caesar 3 easier and quicker (and
maybe more enjoyably). If you find yourself stuck at any point in the game, then
what you find here will prove invaluable (we hope)...
There
is also a section here with stories made up by C3 players who
have turned their real-life Caesar 3 experiences into stories
for you to read. Get to that section by clicking
here.
The
first article we have is by Angel
Alexander I and deals with the levels supplied
with the demo. However, it also contains many useful strategies
which can be applied in the full game, so it's worth a read
in any case. Download it by clicking here.
We also
have some walkthroughs for you to look at if you so wish.
If
you're the pacific type, then you can see MartyParty's
excellent Peaceful Walkthroughs here.
On
the other hand, if you want to live a bit more dangerously,
then you can see Angel
Reckless Rodent's Military Walkthroughs here.
Thanks
to Monty's Monkey, we now
have some excellent-looking building layouts to be uploaded.
Currently, we have the basic
layouts and the alternative layouts
pages available. Provided you have Excel, you will be
able to look at these rather useful little babies:) If
you don't have Excel 97, then don't despair - here are the basic
and alternative spreadsheets in Excel
95 form. In the forums, MM pointed out that you can get
an Excel 97 Viewer - click
here to get it.
Working
together with MartyParty,
Angel Jayhawk
has been trying to give the spreadsheet layouts a bit more
life and has worked them over in to an HTML table format that
can be viewed online.
If
C3 is getting you down, then you can always be a bit "liberal
with the rules" and cheat. Here
are the cheat codes, as well as a clever little trick to change
the movies which appear at crucial times during the game.
Another
submission comes from Bob
the Lethargic,
who will be known to everyone who visits the forum regularly.
Well, seems like he's stopped being lethargic for a while, because
he's composed a great little piece detailing various military
strategies which may be employed by governors in order to ensure
their success in battle. Well worth a read! Thanks
Bob! Grab hold of it here.
He's also produced an Excel spreadsheet
which will calculate your population and prosperity - a must-have
for anyone who wants to predict acurately how a city will turn
out. But that's not all, oh no indeed! He's done
a Word97 document which tells
you which goods the 40 cities you can trade with (when creating
a scenario) will be prepared to trade with you.
Angel
Jayhawk has been really busy scouring the forums
for all the best battle tactics and has compiled them into a
collection of web pages for your viewing pleasure. Check
them out here.
Earthquakes
are a perennial problem in some C3 scenarios (especially Tarraco).
However, thanks to Jack Noir,
we can show you how devastating they can be! Check them
all out here.
Long
time regular Jack Noir,
has been busy once more and compiled a great set of pages listing
the various Caesar 3 enemies. So if you want to know the difference
between Helvetii and Visigoths, have a look at the Enemy
Catalog.
Stay tuned for
more updates coming soon!
