This is your mouse reporter back for another shot at the news As the world begins the slow tumble into the next century around the world let the dreams begin. The 20th century was full of great and terrible things. May the 21st century be full of great things and fewer terrible. Hopefully the younger generation will do a better job with the world My generation tried and didn't fail completly Best wishes to all, may peace and good will reign
Nope, that doesn't mean Germans are inferior, it's the name the Romans gave to the Low Countries. One of the natives, Citizen Paul, is busy creating a small campaign set in this corner of the Empire. His second scenario, Venlo can be downloaded for testing.
There's another nice starter thread, with a very peculiar title.
I have to admit it, I've spent too much time on updating my own web-site and playing Pharaoh. I'm currently fighting of the troops from Henesw-something-or-other, as the fight for the Middle Kingdom flares up. Riveting stuff this. I like the need for you to consider each request, as picking the wrong ones will slam shut the trade routes. The problem is, either one will have the Pharaoh to be send in his troops.
In the Technical forum, Angel ET has started a little thread in which he's wondering what you will be doing at the stroke of midnight, some three days from now. You can tell him, and us, right here.
December 27, 1999 — 't Was the night after Christmas...
And hardly a forumer was stirring. It almost seems as if everyone moved to Egypt. I have to admit I spend quite some time there myself, but as Egypt was my first post, I think I can be forgiven
So what is happening in Caesar 3 land?
Theodoeraus has finished the Peaceful campaign and made Caesar. True to our tradition, you can congratulate him here.
Apart from that there's the usual tomfoolery in the Community forum, such as games, stories and whatmore. Strangely enough the Recovery thread seems to have been put to rest.
December 25, 1999 — The challenges keep on coming...
Over in the Community forum, Thanh2002 has posted the following that might be of interest to some of you:
I have just finished developing an easy scenario where everyone can win if they know what they're doing. However, the rating requirement is very demanding. You have to get 100% for every rating except prosperity, which is 35%. This is because the only type of housing that you can have is a small casa.
The population target is 12,000 people.
If you're interested, then the thread you want is here.
Oh, if I haven't already said so, Merry Christmas!.
December 24, 1999 — The market ladies win again...
Yup, those pesky market ladies have struck again. The following post has appeared in this thread:
I'm trying to make a nice housing area, and I run into trouble at the markets (i know, i know, really low).. are there ANY tips so i should know about HOW to get things TO THE MARKET? The women walk around but don't go and get any of the supplies which are stored in granaries... Any help would be appreciated
Tis the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature is stirring except for a mouse She checks to see that all angels, cherubs and forumers are snug in their beds Mouse stands tall on her hind paws and says Happy and Safe Holidays to all from all of us to all of you
December 22, 1999 — First Report From Rome by mouse
Angel Reckless Rodent lived up to his name He asked me to do the news This is your mouse reporter from Rome. All seems quiet on the Roman front while we wait for Santa He will no doubt deliver us some new C3 players for Christmas. There are two adventure stories waiting for additional writers on the General Forum. Thats' the end of this my first news report
December 21, 1999 — Another forum rescue mission...
Hmm...I just realised this today, but now that Cherub Caesar Ishaius has left, we won't have any regular reviews coming in for the scenarios we have available in the downloads section.
So, I figured I might as well give a plug to one of the forgotten forums in Rome, the Reviewer's Corner. If you've never been there before, it's one of the most famous spots in the town, where the city's greats (and newcomers) recount their experiences in citybuilding, and recommend some great scenarios. Wine flows freely, and the sweet scent of music wafts through the air...
Well, it worked so well on Pharaoh Heaven, I thought I might just try it here too.
What am I talking about? Over on PH, we put in a nifty little news script at the beginning of last week which made updating the site much, much easier. I asked Angel Mack to put it on C3H too, and here it is .
Oh, it'll also mean I can continue to update over Christmas, while I'm back home.
