While
crossing through the Gates of Athkatla, you may have run across a man
named Flydian. He will tell you about the troubles in
Trademeet, and request your assistance. If you agree, he will tell you
to seek out the High Merchant of Trademeet. As
soon as you enter Trademeet, you will be attacked by a small group of
assorted Animals. This should be an easy fight (the guards help). Once
the fight is over, speak with the Milita Captain. She will inform you of
the situation, and further direct you towards High Merchant Lord
Logan Coprith. You
can take this opportunity to explore the City of Trademeet, but you may
find that the locals are less then friendly. Due to the mysterious
Animal attacks and the Djinn "Trade Embargo", they have
developed a distaste for strangers. Once
you have saved the City from these 2 main problems, you will find that
the locals will warm up to you greatly... Begin
by speaking with the High Merchant Logan, The Guild mistress Busya, and
the Dao Djinn Khan Zahraa. To help with the Animal crisis, you will need
to venture to the Druid Grove (which Logan will mark on your World Map).
For the Djinn, well you could kill him now, but that messes the story
line up a little. For now, head on to the Druid
Grove, and we will cover
the other quests below. (1)
Militia Captain (2)
Dao Djinn Tent (3)
High Merchant Logan and Guildmistress Busya (4)
Town Fountain - You may meet a very annoying man named Neeber,
somewhere near the fountain. You may remember this same guy from BG1 (or
was that Neebler or something?).
Anyway, just suffer his questions for a few minutes. After he has asked
about 10 or 15 questions, he will finally go away. As if him leaving
wasn't reward enough, you will also gain some Bullets +2 (The rocks that
other people throw at Neebler), and each member in the group will gain
1000 exp. (5)
Alibakkar Estate - Family Feud Quest (6)
Lurraxol Estate - Family Feud Quest (7)
Trademeet Tomb - Family Feud Quest (8)
Blacksmith (9)
Vyatri's Pub (10)
Mazzy Fenton's Home - If you saved her in the "Temple
Ruins", and if you told her to wait at her house, you will find
here here. (11)
Temple of Waukeen [!*Spoiler
Warning*! Read After you have completed your tasks in the Druid
Grove] After
returning from the Druid Grove (assuming that you took care of business
while you were there), you will want to first speak with Logan. He will
not only reward you for the Druid Quest, but he will also give you the
Djinn Quest. Speak with the Guild mistress
Busya for the details, and then go speak with the Dao Djinns. Q
- Dao Djinns (2)- You can handle these guys in one of two
different ways. First, you could find Ihtafeer (in the Druid
Grove) for them, and
then return with her head. This will earn you 10,000 exp and the "Rashad's
Talon" sword. Alternatively,
you could kill the Djinns. This will earn you 15,000 exp (5000 for each
Djinn), the Rashad's Talon (Khan Zahraa will drop it when he dies), and
the Efretti Bottle. The only trick to doing it this way is to
make sure to kill Taquee first. Taquee is the Djinn outside of the Djinn
Tent. If you enter the Tent and kill Khan Zahraa first, Taquee will
vanish (and he has the Efretti Bottle). Killing the Djinns is the
"suggested" choice to make. Once
you have taken care of the Djinns, go speak with the Guild mistress Busya
and then High Merchant Logan. You will gain 7500 gold, "Shield of
Harmony", +1 Reputation, and you will be honored as heroes in a
small Reward Ceremony at the Town Fountain (4). Q
- Trademeet Family Feud - You will gain this quest during the
Reward Ceremony at Logan's place. Lady Lilith Lurraxol and Lord Skarmaen
Alibakkar will replay the "Knighting of William Wallace" scene
from the movie "Braveheart". You will need to speak with one of these 2 people (in
their homes) to gain the key to the Trademeet Tomb (7). Once that is done,
go get the Mantle of Waukeen that everyone is wanting so
desperately. You can take it to the head of either family, or you can
turn it over to Logan. The "good guy" approach is to give it
to Logan, where you will be rewarded with a +1 to reputation, 8000 exp,
and 250 gold. If you give the Mantle to either family, both of the
families will attack you (and neither of them will pay you the 1000 gold
which was promised). |
