As if the dangers in the Sphere were not bad enough, now you need to locate a Demon Heart in a strange world. The good news is that you can get a Heart without having to explore too much, but the bad news is that the Demons aren't about to give their Hearts up without a fight. Want to hear more?..

Ok... There are 3 Demons in the area (at locations 1, 2, and 3). You only need one Heart, but if you like, you can kill all 3 Demons. Be warned... This area is very dangerous. If you want to get in and get out, head for Demon #1. He is by far the easiest of the 3, and he is the closest.

If you are feeling brave, or you want the max amount of exp (and I know that you do), Head for #1 and take him out. After he is dead, you may want to rest and recharge. The next fight is much more difficult. The Demon at location #2 is more powerful then the other 2. In fact this Demon has a name ("Lea'liyl"). Besides the scary name, Lea'liyl is also accompanied by 2 Maurezhi (and sometimes Lea'liyl will summon more). On top of that, the Demon at location #3 will often join in the fight with the Demon at location #2 (so you will need to deal with them both at the same time). It is possible to fight each Demon one-on-one, but it is difficult to prevent Demon #3 from noticing you.

Now, you may be asking, "How do I kill these damn things?!". Well the best way that I could find was to send in a wave of summoned creatures. The Demons like to cast holding spells (which leave you unable to move). If you send your front line attackers (your fighters) in right away, they will often be hit with the hold spells. For this reason, you should send in a wave of summoned creatures to take the first hit from any hold spells. After the summons have attacked, begin sending your fighters in one at a time. This way, if a hold spell is cast, it will not get all of your fighters.

 - Casting Haste on your fighters will help them out more then you can imagine.

 - Casting a Wizards Eye spell along with your initial wave of summons will allow you to "get the drop" on the Demons. Often you will need to manually attack the Demons.

 - Don't hold anything back. Throw everything that you have at the first Demon, and then go rest (save your game), and then attempt an attack on Demon #2 etc...

Follow up: Once you have a Demon Heart, head for the Power Core (The door inside the room with the runes on the floor).
