Town Guide (cont.)

Quests

Here are the quests you'll receive in this territory.

Steal plans to Fort Riverstride
King Parson asks you to steal the plans to Fort Riverstride and deliver them to him in a month's time.

What you need to know: The plans for the fort are in Fort Riverstride itself. You can complete this quest without raising Queen Catherine's suspicions about you, so you might as well do it. Travel to Erathia. Walk along the road that runs east to west in the middle of the map. Fort Riverstride is the large bridge/fort atop the river in the center of the map. You can go through the main entrance, which is on the second floor of the bridge. However, if you do that, you'll be facing more than a dozen archers, soldiers, and swordsmen. That might be a bit tough. Instead, cast feather fall and drop down to the river below the fort. Directly underneath, you'll find a back door. It is raised above the ground, so you can't jump to it. However, if you have a fly scroll or a jump spell, you can get to it. Just cast two jump spells to get up to the ledge where the backdoor is.

Once inside, follow the main hallway until you come to a room in the south. There should be a painting of Queen Catherine on a wall. Behind the painting are the Fort Riverstride plans. Get them and rush out before more soldiers and archers appear. Return to King Parson for your reward.

Because you only have a month to complete this quest, it is best to travel by coach or hire an NPC who cuts travel time. If you do either of these two things, time shouldn't be a problem.

If you don't really want to help King Parson, you can visit Queen Catherine and tell her what Parson just asked you to do. She'll give you fake plans to give to him. Parson will still reward you with gold, but you won't get any experience.
