Town Guide (cont.)

Arbiter Succession
This quest is a timed quest and doesn't occur until a few months have passed after the war between the humans and elves start. No matter where you are, a messenger finds you and delivers some bad news. He tells you that Judge Grey, the arbiter who dwells in Harmondale, has died of natural causes. You have been chosen to select a successor. There are two choices before you: Bracada or Deyja. Representatives for each choice await you in your castle.

What you need to know: When you return to the castle, there is an ambassador from Deyja and an ambassador from Bracada in your throne room. They each say they have a candidate who would be ideal for the position of arbiter. All you must do is pick one candidate and take him to the arbiter's house. This is more than a quest; this determines whether you will be a good guy or bad guy in the game. If you choose Judge Fairweather from Bracada, you will be choosing the path of light (good). If you choose Judge Sleen from Deyja, you will be choosing the path of dark (evil). Either way, you must travel to the respective territory's inn, where the appropriate judge will be waiting for you inside. When you click on him, he will join your party as an NPC. When you arrive at the arbiter's house, you will have completed the quest and thrown your lot in with either good or evil. This quest is very easy, but it has significant ramifications for your party's future.
