Town Guide (cont.)

Bracada Desert

The Bracada Desert is one incredibly frustrating town to visit. For one thing, everything is scattered across the entire map. The tavern might be located in one corner of the map and the stable in another. All these buildings are located atop hills and plateaus, which are only accessible in the early part of the game via teleporters. Later on, you can get to these buildings by a fly spell, but until then, I would recommend avoiding this city except for essential quests like the Red Dwarf Mines quest you receive in Stone City. Thankfully, everything you need for this quest lies on the ground in an easily accessed cave. However, all the other buildings are hard to find. Just southwest down the road in the north of the map, there is a cluster of teleporters, but these teleporters only take you to a few locations: the stables, tavern, temple, School of Sorcery, the guilds of water and light magic, and Celeste. The Celeste teleporter will only work once you join the path of light. One other teleporter in this cluster is a random teleporter. Bracada is mostly a destination for quests for adventurers. You'll come here to complete the Red Dwarf Mine quest and to find Celeste. The sorcerer promotion quests will also take you here, as will the initiate to ninja promotion quest.

Here is the teleporter to Celeste. To get here, you first need to step on the pad in the teleport cluster.

Areas and People of Note
Red Dwarf Mines: The Red Dwarf Mines lie in the northeast of the map, just south of the road in the north of the territory. When you arrive here, you'll see griffins circling the cave. Once you go inside, you'll find oozes on the ground floor and medusas on the floor below that. The mines are the destination for two quests: the important "save the dwarfs" quest you get from King Hothfarr in Stone City and the "sabotage the Red Dwarf Mines lift" quest you receive from Steagal Snick in Avlee. There are seven dwarves to free if you are helping King Hothfarr. They are all on the ground floor. Remember that oozes are only hurt by elemental magic, and medusas are only hurt by physical attacks.

There are seven dwarves to rescue in the Red Dwarf Mines. Watch for oozes.

School of Sorcery: The School of Sorcery is a very important part of the game. You must come here for both sorcerer promotion quests. You also come here to help complete the ninja promotion quest.
