Town Guide (cont.)

Once you enter the tunnels themselves, be prepared to witness some spectacular fights. Inside, you'll see dwarves and sorcerers fighting with gogs. These are the only monsters you'll see in here and only the gogs will be hostile, unless you attack the dwarves and sorcerers. One quest will take you here: the great druid to arch druid promotion quest that you receive in the Tularean Forest from Anthony Green. For that quest, you must find Zokarr's skull and return it to Zokarr's Tomb in the Barrow Dungeons. You find the skull in the Nighon tunnels. The skull lies in the opposite end of the tunnel from which you enter. You must go past the exit to Nighon to get the skull.

Quests

Here are the quests you'll receive in this territory.

Save the Dwarves in the Red Dwarf Mines (Stone City)
This is a vital quest you receive from King Hothfarr in the Stone City. It is actually part of the quest your butler gives you in Harmondale. Once you clear out the goblins in the castle, the butler asks you to go to Stone City and ask the dwarves to repair your castle. Unfortunately, King Hothfarr will have nothing to do with you until you save the dwarves who have been turned to stone by the medusas in the Red Dwarf Mines in the Bracada Desert. He gives you a potion to turn the dwarves back to flesh and says that once you return with the trapped dwarves, he will fix your castle.

What you need to know: The Red Dwarf Mines are in Bracada. Once you arrive, either from the road or the stables, you can make your way to the northeast of the map. You'll see some griffins guarding the entrance to the mines. Take a look at their stats in the bestiary and make sure you can tackle these tough monsters. Once you go inside, there are two levels to the dungeon. The ground floor is all you must consider for this quest. There is the main entry room and then four hallways, one on the west, two in the north, and one in the east. The entire floor is covered with oozes. Remember that only elemental magic harms them.
