Skills Guide (cont.)

Mace

The mace is the weapon of the cleric and paladin. It does a good deal of damage and, at higher levels, can even stun or paralyze your opponents. Paladins can become grandmasters in this weapon, while clerics and knights can become masters.

Normal level: Skill added to attack bonus
Expert level: Skill added to damage
Master level: Chance to stun equal to skill
Grandmaster level: Chance to paralyze equal to skill
Where you learn it: Weapons shop
Where you upgrade to expert level: Thorinson Residence, Stone City (Barrow Downs), Havest Residence, Steadwick (Erathia)
Where you upgrade to master level: Rotham's House, Tatalia
Where you upgrade to grandmaster level: Felburn's House, Deyja

Meditation

Like body building, meditation gives your characters extra points. All spellcasting classes except for thieves and monks can learn this skill and boost their spell points. You should have all your spellcasters learn this skill. Although you don't need to select it first as one of your starting skills, go to an elemental guild as soon as possible to learn this skill. Your attacking spell slingers, like sorcerers and druids, should definitely get this skill early and pump it up. Druids can attain grandmaster level in this skill, while sorcerers and clerics can be masters. The formula is the same as that used for body building, except the base is now base spell points instead of base hit points.

Normal level: Skill added to spell points.
Expert level: Double effect
Master level: Triple effect
Grandmaster level: Quintuple effect
Where you learn it: Self guilds
Where you upgrade to expert level: Wiseman Residence, Deyja; Whitesky Residence, Mount Nighon
Where you upgrade to master level: Lightsworn Residence, Bracada
Where you upgrade to grandmaster level: Kaine's, Avlee

Next: Merchant and mind magic
