Hunter: The hunter rank for the ranger takes this class to a new level by adding one more hit point per level and adding spellcasting power to the ranger's repertoire of skills. This promotion is a very significant upgrade to the ranger's abilities. To get this promotion, you must talk to Ebednezer Sower in the elven capitol of Pierpont in the Tularean Forest. Talk to him, and he will tell you to visit the faerie mound in Avlee. If you can enter the faerie mound and speak to the faerie king, he will promote your rangers to hunters. You must return to Sower to get promoted. To open the faerie mound entrance, you must circle the mound once. You'll hear a sound that indicates that the way you came in has magically disappeared. Circle one more time, and you'll hear another sound. This one indicates that a new doorway has opened. Look at your minimap in the corner to see it open. When you walk inside, the faerie king will appear and make you a hunter.

Ranger Lord: If you want to become a good ranger lord, then speak to Lysander Sweet in the Bracada desert. This elven expatriate tells you that to be promoted to lord, you must restore the tortured Tularean trees to their former, peaceful state. To do that, you must take the Heart of the Forest and bring it back to the oldest tree in the Tularean Forest. The heart is being held by the Mercenary Guild in northeast Tatalia. Bandits and tough swordsmen guard this dungeon. In the northeast of the dungeon, you'll find a bookcase that is actually a secret door (you'll need a high perception skill to see it). Inside is a gem that is the heart of the forest. Take it and go to the Tularean Forest. The oldest tree doesn't actually live on the mainland. It's on the southern island off the coast of the Tularean Forest. The oldest tree, unlike the other trees here, has no leaves. If you return the heart of the forest to this tree, all the other trees will cease attacking you. When you return to Lysander Sweet, he will promote you to lord.

Bounty Hunter: The bounty hunter is the lord's counterpart. To be promoted to this rank talk to Ebednezer Sower. He tells you that the promotion is simple. Just collect 10,000 gold in bounties and return to him. You can go to any town hall and take a bounty. You can either get the bounty in one kill, by killing a red dragon for example or by collecting multiple bounties to accumulate 10,000 gold in bounties. Remember that you only have the calendar month to get the bounty. Going to the town hall on the 29th of January only affords you two days to kill your target, so always visit the town hall at the beginning of the month. Once you collect your 10,000 gold in bounties, go back to Sower, and he will promote you to bounty hunter.
