Promotions
Cavalier: This is the second rank of the knight class. The cavalier gains two more hit points per level, although it doesn't gain new skills or spellcasting abilities. The promotion quest to cavalier is given out by Fredrick Org, who dwells in the city of Steadwick in the Erathia territory. He asks you to clear the haunted mansion of all undead that infest it. The haunted mansion is in the western Barrow Downs. The mansion is haunted by various wights, ghouls, ghosts, and shades. You must kill all the undead here, including the ones behind secret doors, before you can return to Org for a promotion.

Champion: The champion is the third and final rank of the knight, but on the light side. To advance to this rank, you must first talk to Leda Rowan in Bracada. She tells you to journey to the Arena and win five battles in a row against "knight-level" competition. The monsters are randomly drawn from a pool, but that pool includes dragons and titans. You get to the Arena by hopping on the JVC Corral stables in Harmondale every Sunday. Because you can only fight one battle per trip, you must visit every Sunday for five weeks before you can return to Rowan for a promotion. However, once you do complete this quest, you gain two additional hit points and the ability to take your spear, sword, plate, shield, armsmaster, body building, and repair item skills to grandmaster level.

Black Knight: This is the evil counterpart to the champion. Of course, Leda Rowan isn't the one to promote you, since she only trains good knights. However, your old mentor Fredrick Org is more than willing to coach you in the ways of the black knight. The benefits are exactly the same as the champion. In order to get promoted, you need to raid the treasure chests in Castle Navan in the Tularean Forest and return to Org.
