Here's something I meant to say yesterday but forgot (looks
sheepish). Angel Monty's Monkey has uploaded a review or two for you to check
out...seems like a long dead Roman Senator has come back to review them. Wierd, eh?
You'll see what I mean in the downloads section.
Good luck to
Angel Draco as he heads off to Washington, DC to take part in the Moot Court Competition.
I'm not sure what it's all about, but I'm sure he'll tell us all about it when he
gets back;).
This might or might not be the only news update this weekend - if something
really stunning happens, then I'll tell y'all about it tomorrow, so check back to see if
anything's happened!
Well, there are 1 or 2 changes on the C3H news page today.
As you will have already seen, there is a new feature on the top -the
"Building a Roman City feature". There, you'll find loads of great stuff
about how the Romans built their cities. Who knows, you might even learn something
you can use to improve your cities in Caesar III!
Also, if you
scroll down to the bottom of the page, then you'll see that a new banner has suddenly
appeared! Have a look down there for some of the lowest prices on the Net...and,
you'll be helping C3H at the same time! Cool, eh?
After a long discussion amongst the members of the C3
Oympics Committee, it has been decided that the start date has been put back to April
30th. So, that gives y'all more time to sign up and get the training in ready for
the events. Get the full story here.
Also on the
Olympic front, Cherub Dragon2 has got some events ready for testing. So, if you
want to be ahead of the game and get some training in at the same time, head
over here to find out the details.
The teams are building up nicely but we nevertheless need more people to
join in with the Olympic spirit! So, don't delay, sigh up today! You can do
that here.
Just to clarify what I wrote in the forum about not being here for the next
month or so. In fact, I will still be around, updating the news here, at Pharaoh Heaven, and at HGS Main, but I won't be around in the forums as
much as I have been recently. However, once phone calls are no longer an issue, I
shall be back to normal (April 22nd).
Jack Noir's been busy on your behalf again. This time, in his
ever-deepening quest into what makes earthquakes tick in C3,
he's made the discovery that natural barriers can be put up to limit the extent of the
quake damage. So, is anyone out there gonna do a scenario with all the farmland
enclosed by some rocks and have an earthquake tear through it?
Speaking of scenarios, Angel Monty's Monkey has uploaded 2 scenario reviews
to the site. They're done by a mysterious Roman Senator who seems have come back
from the dead. Wierd, eh? Check out what I mean in the download section!
There's dancing in the streets all over the world today, as Impressions and
Sierra finally make a patch available for non-US versions of the game! There are
several different versions - see and grab them here.
Now that you've all got your patched versions of the game, then I'm sure
that you'll want to be taking part in either the Caesar III World Cup or the Caesar III
Olympics (or both:)). Well, there's good news for all of you today - the Caesar 3
World Cup has gone online
as of this morning, and there is a forum for you to sign up for the C3 Olympics in the
forum section (surprise surprise;)). Neat, eh?
No, it's not the shoot-em-up version of Quake, but some pics
of some quakes. These were sent in by forumer Jack Noir and just show how
devastating a quake (even a small one) can be. Check them out here!
Been to the forums
recently? If so, then you'll already know about our latest forum arrival - the
Reviewers' Corner. It's the place to let all the other gamers know what you thought
of a scenario that you've played. Worth a look, no?
Meanwhile, I've added last week's news to the C3H News Archives, so don't leave them
there gathering dust - head over there and get all nostalgic as you check out news from
the past. It's a good place to check out if you're new around here:).
