After locating and entering the secret entrance, Nalia informs you to locate a servant named "Daleson". Enter the first door, and check the area for items. If you stand idle for a moment, a secret entrance will appear. In this area, you will find a lot of secret doors. For your own good, make it a habit of standing idle while in rooms of the Keep. 

After you have spoken with Daleson, follow the series of secret doors to the Magic Forge. Just behind the Forge, you will find another room, which is loaded with statues. Search this room for one of the Flail pieces. Exit from here (back the way that you came), and cross the center of the area. You will need to fight through clumps of Trolls, and then exit to the courtyard. 

Outside in the courtyard, you will need to deal with an "Otyugh". Once you have done that, kill the 4 dogs. Take the hunk of "Dog Meat" off of each of them, and then head up the staircase to the "Ramparts". Open the wench for the drawbridge, allowing Captain Arat and his troops to assist you. A group of Trolls will appear that this point, and begin attacking the Garrison Guards. Take your 4 hunks of dog meat and return to the Kitchen. Click on the oven 4 times, and you will get a pot of "Dog Stew". Exit from the kitchen to the staircase, and go up to De'Arnise Level 2.

 

(1) Daleson - Daleson is the servant of the De'Arnise Keep. Speak with him for more information about the "hostages" and the Trolls. Apparently, Daleson has been forced to feed the Umber Hulks in the Cellar. He will mention his recipe for "Dog Stew", which happens to be what the Hulks eat (4 dogs). Be humble to Daleson. Treat him as you expect your group to treat people. If you are playing a "Good" character, you may not like the -4 reputation penalty for degrading Daleson.

(2) Magic Forge - In the room with Daleson, if you sit idle for a few seconds, a series of secret doors can be found. If you follow them, you will locate the Magic Forge. You may have heard about the super weapon that Nalia's father has (but never wields). You will need to use this forge after you have found all 3 of the Flail pieces.

(3) Just behind the Forge room, through another secret door, there is a "statue room". If you search this room carefully, you will find the "Ring of Earth Control" and the first piece of the Flail (Flail Head: Cold).

(4) Use the oven to cook your "Dog Stew" on. You will need 4 hunks of "Dog Meat" to make the stew. You can locate a pack of dogs just outside the Keep.

 

Follow up: Do not forget to return to the Magic Forge once you have located all 3 pieces to the flail.

 

Also: there is a lot of ranged weapons (arrows, darts, throwing axes, etc) scattered all over the level. Some are fire or acid based. These may come in handy against the Trolls. To make arrows as effective as you can, have your fighters wield one sword, and carry a box in one of their weapon slots. After you knock a Troll to the ground, quickly select the bow from the weapon hotkeys. Your fighter will continue attacking, but instead of using the sword, he/she will fire an arrow (make sure that the fire or acid arrows are selected as the weapons ammo). 

Warning: Be sure to check for traps. There're a lot of them scattered around this map and the next areas (they're marked on the map).
