Rogue
Character ClassCunning
and well-trained both in weapons and magic, the
Rogue is the most flexible of the three classes
and the most balanced. She is ideal for defensive
players who prefer to take out the enemy before
he can come close. Though she is strongest when
coupled with a powerful bow, the Rogue can wield
a melee weapon almost as well as the Warrior
while her magic ability is almost as keen as the
Sorcerer's. Initially the Rogue should distribute
her statistics with focus on strength and
dexterity so that she can quickly equip and use
the finest bows the legions of hell have to
offer. As she proceeds, she should focus
consistently on magic or on vitality;
half-heartedly distributing points between the
two means she will have fewer life points and
half-baked magic skills. A Rogue prone to sorcery
must seek out the Mana Shield spell so that her
high Mana replaces her inferior Life Points. The
Rogue can identify and disarm trapped treasure
chests and doors, although barrels remain a
mystery to her.
The Rogue gains two life points and two mana
points automatically upon gaining a level. She is
fastest with ranged weapons, and her melee attack
and hit recovery are faster than the Sorcerer's
yet slower than the Warrior's. She casts spells
slower than the Sorcerer, but fast enough so that
she can use magic effectively in combat.
