Josh Kirby R.I.P.

It was with deep regret that we learned today (26/October/2001) of the death of Josh Kirby earlier this week. As the first major illustrator of Terry's works and those of many other authors, he will be sorely missed by all in the world of Science Fiction and Fantasy. His last commissioned Discworld picture was a portrait of the Librarian for the cover of David Langford's second Discworld Quizbook, The Wyrdest Link, which is due for release in summer 2002. It bears an uncanny resemblance to Weakest Link presenter Anne Robinson.
