Java API for XML-based RPC (JAX-RPC)

This API provides a transport-independent API for standard XML based RPC protocols.

Platforms

JAX-RPC 1.0 will be available as an optional package for the Java^TM 2 Platform, Standard Edition (J2SE^TM). JAX-RPC may be included in future releases of J2SE or the Java^TM 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE^TM).

Java Community Process

JAX-RPC was approved recently by the Executive Committee of the Java Community Process^SM and the expert group is being formed. The JAX-RPC specification will be developed using the JCP process as JSR-101.
