I can stop the sushi boats for a while, but I'd like to hold them there longer. How do I do that?

1. Just stopping it with the paintbrush isn't enough. The chef will come out of the kitchen and soon have that paintbrush removed from the mechanism.
2. You need to stop the mechanism permanently.
3. You know, while the chef is unjamming the mechanism, he's not in the kitchen.
4. Why don't you take a look in there?
5. It looks like the whole mechanism is steam-driven, and run by brass monkeys. (Cue Beastie Boys joke.)
6. So if you shut that down, the flaming boat would have plenty of time to melt the wax off of the painting.
7. The steam is generated by fire in that copper boiler.
8. The copper boiler that has a handy hatch on the top of it, in fact.
9. You need to put out the fire in the copper boiler.
10. Do you have any liquid that you could, oh, I don't know, pour in the hatch on top of the sushi boat steam generator? If not, have you seen any easily-portable liquid on the island?
11. There's the grog machine down at the harbor.
12. If you look in the machine's change return slot, you'll find a quarter. Buy some grog with it.
13. You'll have to beat on the machine a bit to get it to give you a can.
