Can you give me some general tips for learning Monkey Kombat?

1. Sure. What I did is make a chart listing all of the moves. In the chart below, AA stands for Anxious Ape, BB stands for Bobbing Babboon, CC stands for Charging Chimp, DM stands for Drunken Monkey, and GG stands for Gimpy Gibbon.

2. I then filled in the chart with which syllables took me from one stance to another. I used single-letter codes for the syllables -- A, C, E, and O for Ack, Eek, Oop, and Chee.
3. I also had a chart for which stances beat the other ones, similar to the table above.
4. Then it was just a matter of playing a lot of games of Monkey Kombat. I'd go find an opponent and start fighting. When he would move from one stance to another, I'd fill in the appropriate block in my table above. If the stance beat mine, I'd note that in my "which stance wins" table.
5. A final tip: as JoJo Jr. suggests, going for a draw is a good way to prolong a fight and learn a bunch of moves. Once you've figured some of the moves, just move into whichever stance your opponent uses. After you've done that and filled in most of your moves chart, start experimenting to see which stances beat which other ones.
